Al Tharani, is a tax lawyer at Barrett Tax Law and a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Quebec Bar.
Al brings a wealth of knowledge in both Canadian and Quebec tax law that he acquired while working in the tax litigation department of a prominent Montreal law firm and as an associate with an award winning boutique tax firm in Montreal. Prior to this, he was a law student at the Department of Justice in Ottawa.
He obtained his Licentiate of Laws (LL.L) Cum Laude and his Juris Doctor (J.D.) at the University of Ottawa. While in law school, Al was awarded the Colonel Michel W. Drapeau prize for leadership and academic excellence. Currently, he is working towards a Master’s of Laws (LL.M.) in taxation.
Al is fiercely dedicated to his clients’ rights and works tirelessly to ensure that their needs are addressed efficiently and professionally.
He has appeared before the courts in various matters and is able to provide our clients with services in both official languages.
