Max Shin is an associate lawyer at Barrett Tax Law. Max’s practice primarily focuses on representing taxpayers in tax audits, objections, and before the Tax Court of Canada. Max also assists and advises clients on various civil litigation matters.
 
Max is a licensed lawyer by the Law Society of Ontario, having earned his Juris Doctor at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, where he first gained an interest in Tax Law. Before law school, he graduated from New York University in 2016 with an Honours Bachelors of Arts in History.  Throughout law school, Max was involved with Downtown Legal Services, a clinic that provides legal services to low-income individuals.
 
In his spare time, Max enjoys spending time cycling around the GTA area or reading on a variety of history topics.
